An automated bone age assessment platform for Indian children.
Our software automates bone age analysis (BAA) for a child.
How to use:
Upload Full-Hand X-ray Image of the patient.
Select the sex of the child (male/female).
Click “generate”.
The full-hand age, age of individual segments of the hand (Short Bones, carpal and wrist) and the Segmental Greulich-Pyle age of the child will be displayed in the webpage.
Automated bone age analysis with digiBONE
About digiBONE
digiBONE is an AI application that automates bone age assessment of a child. It employs the widely used Greulich Pyle method of bone age assessment. Traditionally, GP assessment requires expert clinicians to compare a child’s hand X-ray with reference radiographs to determine bone age—an essential step in diagnosing growth and endocrinological disorders.
However, literature suggests that different groups of bones in the hand matures at different rates due to different hormonal influences. For instance, sex hormones govern the maturation of tubular bones (metacarpal, phalanges, radius, ulna) but the carpal maturation follows a different pattern. This implies that a single GP age for the entire hand may not be sufficient.
How digiBONE elevates bone age assessment
Provides GP bone age for the full hand, as well as segmented assessments for short bones, carpals, and wrist.
Introduces Segmental Greulich-Pyle bone age, accounting for variations in bone maturity across different hand regions.
Enhances diagnostic accuracy with automated, consistent and rapid assessment of bone age catering to the Indian population.
