We are interested in studying biological systems using mathematical (analytical, computational and algorithmic) approaches. My main focus areas are mathematical physiology. I am interested in data science and predictive modeling for healthcare and precision (personalized) medicine. Key areas include:
Dynamics of insulin resistance/hypersecretion using minimal models to reinterpret clinical data,
Analysis of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) time series data for characterization of the diabetic state in patients,
Clinical studies on oxidative stress thresholds and glutathione supplementation in Indian diabetic cohorts,
Characterization of (height) growth curves in Indian children,
AI-based tools for bone age assessment in children, and,
Computer vision for arthritis screening using smartphone photos.
This interdisciplinary work bridges mathematical theory with clinical translation. Integral to our work is strong collaboration with clinicians, biologists, and physiologists to address biology, medicine and healthcare challenges, especially in Indian populations.
